Jacqueline N. Waldron, passed away on March 1, 2020. She was born on November 13, 1934 in Fairmont, North Carolina to James and Atelia (Hunt) North. Jacqueline came to reside in Highlands County in 1943 coming from Fairmont, North Carolina. She did theatre in her teens. She worked in nursing at Weems Hospital in the fifties, and at Walker Memorial in the seventies. She owned and operated a family store in the fifties and sixties. She also was a bookkeeper for the family citrus business, Waldron Groves. She designed and built two houses. She was a homemaker, loved to garden, and was an avid reader and collector of books. Jacqueline was a devout Christian and member of Spring Lake Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Billy Waldron (Arnell) of Wauchula, Florida, Gail Uzzell of Sebring, Florida, and Jackie Graham (J.D.) also of Sebring, Florida; siblings, Eunice Barbot of Jacksonville, Florida, J.C. “Mack” North of Lake Wales, Florida and Cecil North of Peoria, Illinois; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM and the funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at the Pinecrest Cemetery Chapel in Sebring, Florida.
