Jacob G Doyle

Jacob G Doyle, age 91, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024 in Lake Placid, Florida.  He was born on March 28, 1933 in Freehold, New Jersey.  He was proud of his work as an electrical lineman and displayed an entrepreneurial spirit in retirement, where he repaired computers for friends and neighbors.  He proudly served his country in the National Guard in the 1950’s. He has been a resident of Sebring since 1993, coming from Farmingdale, New Jersey and he attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Jacob Doyle was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth A Doyle and children, Thomas Doyle (Jean) of Sebring, FL; Sharon Davies (John) of Tinton Falls, NJ; David Doyle of Belmar, NJ; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Jacob touched the lives of many through his kindness, patience, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a patient golfer, teaching his granddaughters to drive and putt. He was known as an avid game player, spending summer days playing card games and dominoes with friends and family. He also was an experienced camper and boater – even though he didn’t know how to swim – and was always willing to drive the boat so his children and friends could water ski.

Jacob liked to keep himself busy and was a dedicated member of various clubs and organizations, including the Boy Scouts, square dancing groups, golf clubs, and computer clubs, where he formed lasting friendships. He was a tinkerer. You would often find him doing garage or yard projects – even when there wasn’t much to do. He could always find something to put away or organize. He was always ready to lend a hand to those in need.

Jacob's legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
