Jack Lloyd Myers

Jack Lloyd Myers, 75 years old, died suddenly, Saturday afternoon Feb 19, 2011 at his home in Sebring, Florida. Born in Hawkins County, Tn, Jack graduated from Morristown Hamblen High School and served in the U S Air Force prior to graduating with honors from University of Tennessee College of Law. He practiced law in Johnson City Tennessee for more than 40 years before retiring to Sebring in 2002. He was married to his loving wife Ellen for 56 years. He was an active member of Union Church of Avon Park. In addition to his church he spent many happy hours with a wealth of wonderful friends on and off the golf course. He is survived in addition to his wife Ellen, by his sister Charlotte and husband StanWise of Leesburg, Fl and sister Debra and husband Guy Wilson of Johnson City, Tn; a son Stephen Myers and wife Trisha of Johnson City, Tn.; 5 grandchildren and 2 great -grandchildren . He was preceded in death by one daughter, Susanne Marie Proffitt. A memorial service will be held at Union Church in Avon Park, Tuesday February 22 at 3 PM.
