Jack Jerome Carter

Jack Jerome Carter, age 76, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 in Lake Placid, Florida. He was born on April 11, 1946 in Miami, Florida, the son of Shelly Smith and Vera Imogene (Gray) Carter. Jack worked as a crane operator in the construction industry, proudly served his country in the US Army from 1964 to 1967, and has been a resident of Lake Placid since 2017, coming from Bonifay, Florida. Jack is survived by his loving wife – Gayle; son – Jeffrey Jerome Carter of Alabaster, AL; stepson -Frederick Bernard Hennessy of Boca Raton, Florida; daughters – Jajuan Elaise Carter of Hollywood, Florida; Janette Lynn Carter of Oviedo, Florida; brother – Kenneth Wayne Carter of Lake Placid, Florida. Surviving are also 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister – Patricia Ann Carter of Naples.  Interment will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery.
