J. Brooks Stuart

J. Brooks Stuart, age 84, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 in Tampa, Florida. He was born in Lebanon, Maine on May 1, 1928 to George E.T. and Mary (Fisher) Stuart. He was a Computer Programmer for General Electric, attended Whispering Pines Baptist Church and served in the US Army during Peace time. He served for 20 years in the MMAP (Mobile Missionary Assistance Program) where he traveled the US. He enjoyed building and wood working and spending time with his family. He was a resident of Sebring since 1997 coming from Maine. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeanne F. Stuart, Sebring; son, John B. Stuart, Jr., Lebanon, Maine; daughter, Jill Guptill (Mark), Milton, New Hampshire; son-in-law, Stephen Peasley, North Burwick, Maine; sister, Winifred Pickering, Lexington, Mass.; 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Peasley. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Whispering Pines Baptist Church, 303 White Pine Dr., Sebring, FL 33872.
