J. PHILLIP SIMPSON J. Phillip Simpson, 93, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010, at his home. He was born December 5, 1916, to John and Dora (Bennett) Simpson in Saline County, Illinois, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1985, coming from Presque Isle, Michigan. He was a Foundry Supervisor in the auto parts industry and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres during World War II. He was also a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and a charter member of Highlands Chapter #169. He was a 13th Degree Mason and attended First Christian Church in Sebring. Mr. Simpson is survived by his Wife, Betty Simpson, Sebring; Daughters, Virginia Wing, Brooklyn, MI; Jeannine Feiler, Sebring and Cheri Willard, Avon Park, FL; 10 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010 at First Christian Church in Sebring, with Rev. Ron Norton officiating.
