J. Ruth Packer

J. Ruth Packer, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. She was born on April 1, 1927 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late James R. and Mary L. (Dykes) Findley. Ruth had been a resident for 28 years coming from Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.  She enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, needle point and watching the Cincinnati Reds.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  They were the light of her life.  She is survived by her Children: Sandi Buckmaster Wolbert (John) of Sebring, FL; Karen Otter of Union, KY; Grandchildren: William Otter; John D. Otter; Alison Otter; Jennifer Buckmaster Claassen and nine Great-Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband: William H. Packer; five sisters and Grandson: Brian Buckmaster.  Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00am at the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church 595 E. Main St., Avon Park, FL.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Breast Cancer Association.
