Julia Theresa (Earnest) Dampier

Theresa Dampier, age 83, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Sebring, Florida, with her husband by her side.  She was born on July 17, 1934 in Avon Park, Florida to the late E. E. and Julia (Jackson) Earnest.  She had been a resident of Sebring since 1996 having moved from Norcross, Georgia.  She was a member of the Whispering Pines Baptist Church.  She was very active in her church having taught Sunday School for over 25 years.  She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader.  She especially loved her family and making a home for them.  Theresa is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gerald Kenneth Dampier of Sebring; children – Terrie Jean Booth (John Edward) of Orlando; Keith E. Dampier (Paula) of Cummings, Georgia; sisters – Sue Allison (Paul) of Avon Park; Hilda Purvis (Ed) of Bradenton; Freda Hoffman (Bob) of Sebring; she is also survived by six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  There will be a Memorial Service held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Whispering Pines Baptist Church, 303 White Pine Drive, Sebring, Florida, with Pastors Steve Trinkle and Paul von Merveldt, Jr. officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Whispering Pines Baptist Church – Building Fund, 303 White Pine Drive, Sebring, Florida 33872 or to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, Florida 33870.
