Ivan N. Schlabach

Ivan N. Schlabach age 81 passed away on June 7, 2024 in Arcadia, Florida with his family by his side.  Ivan was born on January 11, 1943 in Millersburg, Ohio to Nelson and Alta (Miller) Schlabach.

Ivan was an avid NASCAR fan and Dale Earnhardt enthusiast and loved being outside.  Ivan was a carpenter by trade and owned his own construction company when he moved to Florida with his family in 1972.  He also worked at Walmart in Arcadia for 10+ years.  Ivan enjoyed attending First Baptist Church whenever he was able to.

He is survived by his loving son Darrel (Becky) Schlabach, daughters Diane (William) Moncrief, and Debra (Mike) Young, along with his sisters Mary Troyer, Elizabeth (Levi) Troyer, and brother Mervin (Martha) Schlabach.  He was Papaw to six grandchildren: TJ (Samantha) Johnson, Josh (Ana) Schlabach, Andy Johnson, Kalee (Taed) Moses, Ryan (Sterling) Young, Shelby (Bailey) Turner and 12 great-grandchildren: Dakota Johnson, Trib and Coleman Johnson, Blair Turner, Marshall and Salma Schlabach, Marley and Macklin Moses, and Adam, Carson, Roxanne, and Preston Young, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents Nelson and Alta Schlabach.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
