Iva Mae Ercoli

Iva Mae Ercoli, age 85, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at her home. She was born May 31, 1935 in Hanover, PA to William and Addie (Garrett) Kessler. She worked as a secretary for the Highlands County School Board, was a member of First Baptist Church of Sebring for 65 years, and a resident of Sebring since 1947, coming from Pennsylvania. Iva was a faithful Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a compassionate servant of God, serving her community and her church well. She served in the church nursery for many years with babies and toddlers as well as other ministries. Iva ministered to many widow women in the Sebring area over the years assisting them with tasks that they could no longer do for themselves. Iva and her husband Joe ministered to many in the community that were poor, hungry, or even homeless. Many of these she fed at her own table all in the love of Jesus. She is survived by her Daughters – Debbie Wood (Jim) of Avon Park, FL; Beth Adair (Greg) of Sebring, FL; Sisters – Doris Weitzel of Hanover, PA; Linda Plunkert of Gettysburg, PA; 5 Grandchildren – Joshua (Adriana); Annesly (Greg); Megan (Rusty); Jimbo; Caleb (Jessica); 10 Great Grandchildren – Ryleigh; Calvin; Jase; Gavin; Iva Camille; Jolie; Julia; Easton; Jemma; Oliver; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband – Joe Ercoli; Son – Joey Ercoli, Jr.; her parents William and Addie Kessler; sisters – Joyce Stitt and Gloria Cressman. There will be a private family funeral service at First Baptist Church of Sebring and a Public Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Pinecrest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Sebring.
