Israel Santiago Jr., 63, went home to be with the Lord on November 23, 2020. He was born to Israel Santiago Sr. and Zenaida (Torres) Santiago on November 18, 1957 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico.
He had been a Sebring resident since 1995, formerly living in the Bronx, New York. In addition to being a loving husband and father, Israel was a faithful humble servant to the Lord. He was a musical director leading worship for many years. He was a vocalist, pianist, and a guitarist. Israel was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. He worked in transportation as a school bus driver and was also the President of the Highlands County Educational Support Professionals Association. On his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family, going to Disney World and Universal Studios, and watching action movies, such as, Indiana Jones and Marvel movies.
Israel joins his father, Israel Santiago Sr., in heaven. He is survived by his loving wife, Olga; mother Zenaida Santiago; children- Elena Santiago of Newark, Delaware; Desiree Santiago of Old Bridge, New Jersey; Iris Roberts of Sebring, Florida; Kristy Santiago of Sebring, Florida; siblings – Virge Luce of the Bronx, New York; Tilda Santiago of Farmington, Connecticut. Surviving are also four grandchildren.
A private Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
