Ismael Izzy Avila

Ismael (Izzy) Avila, age 75, passed away on May 23, 2020 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on May 30, 1944 in Vieques, Puerto Rico to Antonio Avila Ruiz and Luisa (Nieces) Avila. Ismael had been a resident of Highlands County since 2012. He worked as a painter and served in the Army during the Vietnam War Era. Ismael loved to paint and enjoyed watching CNN on TV.  He is survived by his loving wife Margaret of Sebring, FL; children – Ismael Avila Jr. (Carol) of Winchester, CA; Donna Shaw (Daniel) of Davie, FL; Sherrie Dunlap of Summerfield, NC; Jack Dunlap of West Palm Beach, FL; Siblings – Zulma Turner of Phoenix, AZ; Antonia Avila of North Carola: Elba (David) Kish of Maricopa, AZ; Noelia Conner of Philadelphia, PA; Sister-in-law - Peggy Estes of Sebring, FL; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
