Iris Lavone Young

Iris Lavone Young, “Granny”, age 89, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022.  She was born January 22, 1933 in Frostproof, Florida to Carl and Zona (Best) Lamb.  She worked as a waitress, a member of Crewsville Bethel Baptist Church, and has been a lifelong resident of Highlands County.  Granny is survived by her Children – Christina G. Daniels (Bob) of Avon Park, FL; Nolan C. Young of Lake Placid, FL; Nancy L. Young of Sebring, FL; Neil G. Young (Darlene) of Lake Placid, FL; Dusty Young of Lake Placid, FL;  9 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her Parents and Husband of 73 years Harold F. Young.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Crewsville Bethel Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the Crewsville Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
