Iris Ortiz

Iris Ortiz, age 71, passed away on April 28, 2024, in Sebring, Florida. She was born on April 26, 1953, in Queens, New York, to her loving mother Maria Mercedes Soto Leon.  She has been a resident of Sebring, Florida for over ten years, coming from Vineland, New Jersey.

She had a deep love for her family. Iris is survived by her son Angel Casillas (Stacy), siblings Willy Perales, Aida Ortiz (Thomas), and Abraham Ortiz, as well as her three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her love extended to her many nieces and nephews; Erica Ibarra, Danielle Ortiz, Dominique Key, Mercedes Allain, Larenz Allain, Justin Allain, Cameron Francis Gavin Gonzalez.  Iris was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and three sisters.  She will be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her family.

Iris was a caring, loving, friendly, hard-working, and nurturing soul who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a devoted member of the Catholic community and found solace in her faith throughout her life.  In her free time, Iris enjoyed crocheting and spending quality time with her family.

Iris Ortiz will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
