Iris Rosemary Koveleskie, age 74, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, in Lake Placid, FL. Born on April 8, 1950, in Chancellor, AL, Iris was the cherished daughter of the late Sude and Willa Gilmore. After dedicating years of her life as a civil servant for the government, Iris moved to Sebring, FL  from Westville, FL in 2012. Throughout her life, she exemplified selflessness, kindness, and an adventurous spirit.

Iris is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Bob Koveleskie, and her stepdaughter, Michelle McGill (John) of Alabama. She also leaves behind her brothers, Don Gilmore and Jack Gilmore, and her beloved grandchildren, Brittany Stanford (Justin) of Alabama and Mark Fultz (Amy) of Alaska. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Denice Fultz.

An artist at heart, Iris expressed her talent and creativity through painting, sewing, and crafting, leaving a legacy of beauty and inspiration in every piece she created. She found immense joy traveling across the United States in an RV with her husband, cherishing every moment spent exploring new landscapes. Among her travels, Nova Scotia held a special place in her heart for its breathtaking countryside and delectable cuisine.

Iris will be remembered as a loving wife, a generous friend, and a kind soul who touched the lives of many. Her adventurous nature, coupled with her boundless love and talent, will forever remain an inspiration to her family and friends.

Rest in peace, Iris. Your light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
