Illa Irene Carpenter

Illa Irene Carpenter 81, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013, in Sebring, Florida. She was born February 28, 1932, to Claude and Edith (Wooley) Dunham in Galeton, Pennsylvania, and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1992 coming from New Jersey. She was a homemaker and a member of Whispering Pines Baptist Church, where she was very active. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, John B. Carpenter; daughter, Karen; sons, John, Jr.; Terry; Christopher and Scott; brother, James Dunham and 12 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Whispering Pines Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Trinkle officiating.
