Humberto Boan

We are sorry to announce the passing of Humberto Boan, 89 of Sebring, FL, on September 10, 2022, Humberto passed surround by his family he succumbed to a prolonged illness. Humberto was originally from Habana, Cuba. He immigrated to the United States in 1949 when he was 17 years old. Arriving in New York City. He worked various jobs prop man in movie productions, hotel elevator operator, porter and finally, after becoming a United States citizen in 1967 a Letter Carrier. He was proud of being a United States Letter Carrier. In 1954 he met his future wife, Eulogia “Nelly” Jimenez Tolédo at the Paladium Dance club, in New York. They married in 1956 and moved to Miami, Florida in 1957. They had three children, Edward, Andrew and Marie Ann all raised in Miami, Fl. In 2005, they visited Sebring and decided to relocate to Sebring, Fl. Humberto was not completely retired working at Walmart in Sebring until 2015. Humberto is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eulogia, his children Edward (DL- Lourdes) {Avon Park}, Andrew (DL-Annette) {Miami} and Marie Ann{Miami/Bushnell}, his grandchildren Ysset, Michael (Janelly), Gregory, Melissa great- grandchildren Ian and Nathan Boan. The funeral will be private ceremony with only close family members present. We invite you to make donations in his honor to the American Cancer Society, in place of sending flowers.
