Dr. Hollan Frederick “Fred” Keiber

The family of Dr. Hollan Frederick “Fred” Keiber sadly announces his passing on November 15, 2025.

Fred was born on February 9, 1946, to Marie and Henry Keiber in Starke, Florida, and was raised in Winter Haven. He was an Eagle Scout and a proud graduate of the University of Florida. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami and went on to serve Highlands County as an ophthalmologist for more than 25 years. Throughout his career, Fred was known not only for his skill and dedication to his patients, but also for his leadership and commitment to the community.

Fred was an active member of Sebring Firemen, Inc. and the Good Ole Boys, organizations that reflect his love of fellowship, service, and friendship.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sharon Keiber; his daughter, Stephanie (Scott) Weisz of Windermere, Florida; and his three sons, Scott F. (Kathy) Keiber of Winter Garden, Florida, Michael L. (Meredith) Keiber of Sebring, Florida, and Eric C. (Melissa) Keiber of Sebring, Florida. He was a devoted grandfather to 13 grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Scenic Lagoon in Frostproof, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather and share fond memories and stories of Fred, with refreshments and fellowship to follow.
