Hilda Deitrick Howard

Hilda Deitrick Howard, age 104, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in Leesburg, Florida. She was born on July 30, 1918 in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of Claude and Nellie (Cocke) Deitrick. Hilda enjoyed volunteering at ARC, playing the organ, and was a very good seamstress. Hilda loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children Brian D. Howard of Leesburg, Florida and Claudia H. Gaylor of Pikeville, Tennessee; granddaughters Cindy Gaylor and Angela Peeples; great grandchildren Sean Poston, Michelle Martinez, Kelsey Fontes, and Atley Vandevender; great-great grandchildren Addilynn and Kira Fontes; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hugh; and siblings Jacob and Raymond Deitrick, Mary Goode, Nellie Ruth Lawrence, Effie Hall and Edith Deitrick.
