Herbert Leroy Hill

Herbert Leroy Hill entered his heavenly home on May 2, 2023. He is survived by his adoring
wife, Linda Hill (Goodin). His siblings include Donna (Mark), Dean, Tom (Stella), and Larry
(Roxanne). His pride and joy were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His
children include David Hill (Heather), Doug Hill (Maria), Darryl Hill (Tami), Debbie Parker
(Michael), Brian Bellamy (Sue), Darin Bellamy, Kevin Bellamy, and David Bellamy. His
grandchildren include Tim (Lien), Mark (Allie), Rachel, Christopher, Amy, Ethan, Quillan, Isaac,
Sarah, Natasha, Nathaniel, Abigail (Darrin), Evan (Lauren), Isaac, Julianna, and Ryleigh. He
also had four great-grandchildren. Herb was born at his grandmother’s home in Horatio, Ohio on
August 17, 1938. He graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Chemical Engineering.
He began his chemical engineering career at Conoco Oil and then moved to USA Petrochem as
the Senior Vice President. On the side, he was a citrus rancher in southern California. Herb had
many talents that led him to a variety of career pursuits in insurance sales, computer
networking, and construction. His most recent job was as a Turbo Tax Support Technician. He
loved Jesus with his entire heart, and the way he lived his life reflected that devotion. He served
in ministry roles most of his life, most recently serving at Community Bible Church as an elder
and treasurer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqueline Hill (Helferich); son, Baby
Boy Hill; and his parents, Harold Chalmer and Helen Etta Hill (Rapp). A memorial service will be
held at Community Bible Church, in Avon Park, Florida, on Saturday, June 3, at 2 p.m. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Community Bible Church, 1400 County Rd 17A
