HENRY BUD SWACKHAMER Henry Bud Swackhamer, 80, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011, in Sebring. He was born December 26, 1930, to Frank E. and Marie (Breeze) Swackhamer in Dunkirk, New York, and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1990, coming from Dunkirk. He was a 42 year veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was of the Catholic faith and was a life member of the VFW in Dunkirk. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and dancing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Swackhamer of Sebring; daughters, Sharon (Richard) Ruffi, Pinellas Park, FL; Kathryn (Rex) Carpenter, Indiana and Robin (Bill) Tuzin, Texas; sons, David (Rae) Littlehale, New Jersey and Paul Littlehale, Georgia; sisters, Lillian Breen and Peggy Zafuto, both of New York; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Lehman and sister, Marie. Memorial Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Sebring, with Father Nicholas McLoughlin officiating.
