Henry Thomas Haralson, Sr.

Henry Thomas Haralson, Sr., age 93, of Zolfo Springs, FL, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 in Sebring, FL. He was born February, 6, 1921 in Ellijay, GA to Tom & Mattie Haralson. He was a Park Ranger for Highlands Hammock State Park for 18 years. Henry was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sebring where he was one of the oldest founding members that assisted in the construction of the church facilities. He served as a Sunday School Teacher for 40+ years, a Ranger Commander with the Royal Rangers, and also served on mission trips. He has been a resident of Zolfo Springs, FL since 1978, moving from Sebring, FL. He is survived by his Wife of 48 years - Essie Haralson of Zolfo Springs, FL; Sons - Tommy Haralson (Ann) of Sebring, FL; Will Edward Haralson (Diane) of Sebring, FL; David Haralson (Yvette) of Sebring, FL; Lloyd Haralson of Zolfo Springs, FL; Mary Burkhart (Alma) of Sebring, FL; Steve Burkhart (Michele) of Zolfo Springs, FL; Daughter-in-law - Debbie Burkhart of AL; Sister - Tommi Spires of Sebring, FL; Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Sons - Henry Haralson, Jr.; John Charles Burkhart; and Daughter - Lillian Blyething. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the First Assembly of God Church in Sebring, FL with Pastor Paul Earwood and Pastor Wilmont McCrary officiating. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God in Sebring, FL.
