Helene Nassour

Helene Nassour, age 85, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. She was born on April 13, 1929 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania to the late Albert and Mary (Verbitsky) Budusky. Helene called Sebring home since 1990 after moving here from Miami Beach where she had lived and worked as a registered nurse since 1956. Helene worked as a supervisor at the Miami Heart Institute in Miami Beach for many years until her retirement when she moved to Sebring with her husband Joffre. She was an avid golfer and played in many tournaments over the years by herself and with husband. She loved reading and spending time with her family and friends and pet Yorkshire terriers Archie I and Archie II. She was preceded in death by her husband Joffre Nassour in 1992. She is survived by her sister Mary Ann Pastorella, niece Michelle Moyer and husband Kevin, niece Cathy Sobel and husband Howard, nephew Edward Nassour and longtime family friend Keith Ruley. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park, Florida with Father Nick McLoughlin officiating.
