Helena Coleman

Helena Coleman, 97, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011, in Sebring. She was born June 29, 1914, to Jacob and Aganetta (Doerksen) Friesen in Saskatchewan, Canada and had been a resident of Sebring since November, 1982. She attended Saskatoon Bible College and served with SIM, arriving in Nigeria in 1944 and doing guest house work, as well as teaching in Bible Schools and retiring in 1981. She is survived by her children, Gene and Susan Coleman; Glenn and Marcia Coleman and Esther Joy and Paul Higdon, as well as grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the SIM Fellowship Hall at the SIM Village on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Funeral services will be in the SIM Chapel in Sebring on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park.
