Helen Catherine Shedd

Helen Catherine Shedd, age 81 passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Moriah, New York on July 15, 1931 to Ralph and Grace (Stevenson) Atwell. She worked for a nursing home in the food service department, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Avon Park, Florida, she enjoyed playing dominoes, cards, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She had been a resident of Avon Park since 1994 coming from New York. She is survived by her children-Catherine (Bill) Traegler of Randolph, Vermont, Steven (Helen) Shedd of Milton, Vermont, Donald (Ghislaine) Shedd of Warrensburg, New York, Terry Slieff of New Orleans, Florida, Mary Ellen (Roy) Provost of West Chazy, New York, Elizabeth Ann St. Dennis of Bloomingdale, New York and Michael Shedd of Tupper Lake, New York; sister-Evelyn (Tony) Trapasso of Warrenburg, New York; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death in death by her parents, brothers-Ralph Atwell and Don Atwell and longtime companion-Fred Greenliee. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
