Hawley Everett Rising

HAWLEY EVERETT RISING Hawley Everett Rising, 86, of Sebring, FL, formerly of West Suffield, CT passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012, after a long illness. Mr. Rising was born in Springfield, MA on March 30, 1925, the son of Judson and May ( Foster) Rising. He lived in Suffield until moving to Florida in 2004. Hawley graduated from Suffield High School and took over his familys apple orchard, Rising Corners. He was a life Deacon at First Baptist Church in Suffield and held the position of Town Historian and also Historian of the Society. Hawleys passions were world traveler, painting, playing his piano, photographing flowers and researching family genealogies. He was active in civic affairs as well as been an active member of the West Suffield Grange. Hawley will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Eudora M. (Rines); two step-children; several cousins and many friends. Memorial services will be held in the Spring at the First Baptist Church in Suffield. Burial will follow at the West Suffield Cemetery.
