Harold Lavern Knutson

Harold Lavern Knutson, age 82, passed away on January 28, 2018 in Sebring, Florida.  He was born September 20, 1935 in Ute, Iowa to the late Roy and Alice (Straight) Knutson.  Harold moved to Sioux City, IA in 1942 where he went to Central High School.  In 1954 he entered the US Navy, when he met and married Irene Brinkley in1965.  Harold remained in the Navy until retirement in 1974.  He and Irene moved to Sebring, FL in 1979 where he was a member of the Am Vets, VFW Post 4300, and the American Legion.  He is survived by his Sons: Thor Knutson of Sebring, FL; Brett Knutson of Nebraska; David McDonald of Alabama; four Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren.  Harold is preceded in death by his wife Irene who passed away in 2011.  There will be a memorial service on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:00pm at Unity of Sebring.
