Harold "Bunky" Horton, 84 of Sebring, Florida passed away on September 25, 2023 at AdventHealth in Lake Wales, Florida. He was born in 1939, the son of the late Harold Horton and Edna (Hale) Horton Ault. He was happily married to his wife, Carol, of 57 years prior to her passing. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy and Son in Law, Stephen Archer, of Sebring Florida. He also leaves behind two brothers; Allan Horton (Nancy) and Lenard Horton, of Ohio. He had nine grandchildren; Tasha Pennell, Ashley (Andrew) Babula, Maranda and Larissa Boehm, Kaitie (Brandon) Fatiuk, Tori and Michael Horton, Luke and Remington Archer. He had seven great-grandchildren; Tylor and Tobi Pennell, Avery and Owen Babula, Willow Prunka, Aurora Fatiuk and Daphne Horton. Harold was the Owner/Operator of Horton Well Drilling and Pumps in Cuddebackville, New York. He was a member of the Moose International for 41 years. He loved deep sea fishing, deer and duck hunting and was an amazing skeet shooter. He enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Tampa Bay Rays. Harold was also a private pilot and "Cool, Calm and Collectively" landed two personal planes successfully and without injury; one with a blown engine and the other catching fire in mid air. He was predeceased by his wife, Carol Galloway Horton, his daughter, Debbie Boehm, and son, Michael Horton, sister, Beverly Montieth. Memorial services will be held at a later date for the family and cremation was handled by Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Sebring, Florida. Memorial Contributions may be made in Harold's memory to any of the following; Easter Seals of Southeastern PA Branch, the Ronald McDonald House, or Give Kids the World, Florida.
