Hargus Howard

HARGUS HOWARD Hargus Howard, 90, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011, in Clewiston, FL. He was born October 8, 1920, to Kindle and Mary (Allen) Howard in Salyersville, Kentucky, and had been a Winter Resident of Sebring since 2000 and a permanent resident since 2007, coming from Silver Lake Indiana. He was a farmer and was a member and Assistant Pastor at the Church of God in Silver Lake. Mr. Howard is survived by his wife, Hattie Howard of Sebring; daughters, Carolyn (Hank) Lister, Sebring; Bonnie (Jim) Mettler, Brandon, FL and Mary Trout, Sebring; son, Ralph (Cindy) Howard, Warsaw, IN; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Woody Howard. Visitation with family and friends was held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton, IN. Contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in Mr. Howards memory.
