GROVER WILSON REVELLE Grover Wilson Revelle, 91, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Monday, November 9, 2009, in Sebring. He was born May 8, 1918, to Bascom S. and Elizabeth (Young) Revelle in Madison County, Missouri, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1994, coming from Ponce de Leon, Florida. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Chief in the U.S. Navy and retired after being a longtime Florida businessman in the Commercial Sand Business. He was a member of Red Bay Baptist Church in Ponce de Leon, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Mr. Revelle was preceded in death by his Parents, one Brother and one Sister. He is survived by his Wife of 36 years, Clara Revelle of Sebring; Daughters, Donna Lisa (Pastor Jerry) Harris, OFallon, Missouri; Sheila Diane Bain, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Donna Teresa (Tim) Rogers, St. Louis, Missouri; Sons, Grover W. (Brenda) Revelle, Jr., Worden, Illinois and Danny (Merica) Carroll, Bonifay, FL; Brother, Prince Bud Revelle; 13 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2009, in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, Sebring, Pastor Wilmont McCrary and Chaplain David Springer officiating. Interment, with full Military Honors, will be at 2:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, on Thursday. Donations may be made in his memory to Hope Hospice of Highlands County, 4840 Sun n Lake Boulevard, Sebring, Florida 33872.
