Grace Gavin

GRACE GAVIN Grace Gavin, 86, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, in Avon Park, FL. She was born September 16, 1924, to Thomas Edwin and Alma Enid (Vincent) Scarrott in Brooklyn, New York, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1990, coming from Key Largo, Florida. She was a homemaker and attended First Presbyterian Church of Sebring. She dearly loved and helped to raise two children, Peggy Tighe of Virginia and Scott Tighe of Nevada. She is also survived by a nephew, Stephen Ford of Sebring and two great-nephews, John and Chris Ford of Naples, FL and her sister, Joan Ford of Sebring. She was preceded in death by her husband Jonathan Gavin. Memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, Sebring, with Rev.
