Gordon Cecil "Gordy" Ruble

GORDON CECIL RUBLE GORDY Gordon Gordy C. Ruble, 67, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 7, 2011. He was born February 11, 1943, to Cecil and Evella Ruble in Richmond, Indiana. He married Beverly (Welch) Norton in 1980 in Wichita, KS. He held a B.S. in Computer Science and earned his Doctorate in Business Administration. He retired from Boeing Airplane Co. in 2001 and the family moved to Sebring in 2004. Mr. G. was a bus driver for the school district and through the years was involved with the Mounted Police of the Wichita Sheriffs Reserves; Mulvane and Maize Police Departments and the Highlands County and Florida State 4-H Dog Programs. Gordy loved his family, computers, the bus kids he greeted every day and the 4-H families. Gordy is survived by his wife, Beverly; son, Scott (Cathy), Bellevue, WA; daughters, Taryn (Eric) Smith, Jackson, MI and Sydney (Brett) Stelmaszek, Gainesville, FL and grandchildren Zachary, Nicholas, Kayla, Zachary and Isaac (due in April). He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Harold and sister, Jeannie Peplinski. Visitation with family and friends was held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring. Funeral services are being held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Bible Fellowship Church, 3750 Hammock Rd., Sebring, with Pastor Todd Patterson officiating.
