Gloria S. Sargent

On August 19, 2018, Gloria S. Sargent, loving wife and mother of four children died peacefully at the age of 92 after an extended stay at The Palms, Sebring, FL.  Gloria was born November 14, 1925 in Chicago, IL.  Preceding her in death was her father, Dennis Spatharos and her mother, Marian Ross.

A graduate of North Central College, Naperville, IL, Gloria met and married Charles R. Sargent on November 24, 1949.  After Charles served in the Army, the couple moved their family to Elkhart, Indiana in 1956 and moved to Sebring, FL in 1985 to enjoy their retirement years.

A life as homemaker/housewife, Gloria also served as Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #181, Elkhart, Indiana.  She was an avid golfer at Sebring Golf Course and had a passion for antiquing, painting, crafting and cultivating orchids.

Although Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Charles and Son-In Law, David Seifert she is survived by her four children, Earl B. Sargent of Bristol, IN, Sharon D. Schoemann (Jon) of Lake Placid, FL., Cynthia A. Scheuer (Michael) of Sebring, FL and Victoria S. Seifert of Sebring, FL along with two grand-children Brandon L. Scheuer (Jennelle) of Elkhart, IN. and Robert M. Scheuer (Amber) of Kalamazoo, MI and two great grand-children, Charleigh and Jackson Scheuer.

After a brief graveside ceremony, Gloria will be put to her final resting place with her husband at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL.
