Gloria Lee Morrison

Gloria L. Morrison, 69 passed away on December 23, 2018 in Avon Park, FL. Daughter of  Leon and Anne Wixson born  in New Orleans, Louisiana, raised and lived her life in Lake Wales , FL.  Gloria was a caring person, who deeply loved her family and friends. Her primary love was to be with her Grandchildren yet any child that came into her life as such she would embrace as her own. She gave her time volunteering for the  Care Center, Treasure Box at Union Church and other thrift stores in her community. Gloria enjoyed reading history, especially southern, and loved to go antiquing and visiting thrift stores to find her treasures. Gloria was a member of the Lake Wales Women’s Club and the Lake Wales Lions Club and attended the Union Church in Avon Park.  Gloria is survived by her children Jennifer C. (Matthew) Wynn, Cocoa, FL.- David L. Morrison, Jr.-Avon Park, FL.- Eddie

(Leslie) Morrison-Avon Park, FL.-Sister Marion Jane Wixson-Eagel Lake, FL.-6 Grandchildren- Grace West Moreland, Casey Wynn, Skylar Morrison, Anthony Manus, Christopher Manus and Jennifer N. Ealy. She is truly loved and missed by all. Visitation will be at the Union Church on Sunday December, 30 ^th , at 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Breylinger officiating. Interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL., on December 31 ^st at 1:30 p.m. The family asks that donations be made to the Union Church Mission in Gloria’s name.
