Gladys Ortega

Gladys Ortega, 68, joined her parents and many siblings in the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2023. She was born April 10, 1955, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She and her husband, Edwin, moved to Highlands County in 1992. Together, they raised three boys, Edwin Javier, Jonathan, and Darbel Fabian. Gladys was dedicated to her family and enjoyed the times in her life when her whole family could be together. Gladys is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edwin Delgado Irizarry. She is also survived by her three sons, Edwin Javier (Jennifer) Delgado, Jonathan (Carmen) Delgado and Darbel (Liliana) Delgado; 10 grandchildren, Dante Diaz, Alyssa Delgado, Seth Delgado, Estrella Delgado, Ezekiel Delgado, Kiara Delgado, Jonathan J. Delgado, Jeriel Delgado, Jadiel Delgado and Glarysvette Delgado; 2 sisters, Lola Ortega and Zena Ayala and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Stephenson Nelson in Sebring at 1:00 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 04, 2023.
