Gladys Musa Markowski

Gladys Musa Markowski, age 82, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 in Sebring, Florida. Mrs. Markowski was born in Chicago, Illinois to Otto and Marge (Butcher) Musa. She was a Secretary, member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and had been a resident of Highlands County since 1989 coming from Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her daughter-Melissa Gonzalez (Jorge, M.D.) of Sebring, Florida; brother-Robert Musa (Karen) of Park Ridge, Illinois; step-brothers- John Pusker of Brooksfield, Illinois and Edward Klaus of Brandon, Florida; 1 grandchild-Jordon Hernanda; 3 step-grandchildren- Catherine Gonzalez, Jorge Gonzalez, III and Victoria Gonzalez. Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Luis Pacheco officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that Memorial Contributions be made to the Somers Hospice House, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, Florida 33870.
