Gilbert Carney

Gilbert S. Carney, age 66, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2022, in Sebring, FL. He was born on October 11, 1955, in Easton, PA to Gilbert Lawrence and Madeline Ardith (Martin) Carney. He worked as a Technical Director/Sound Engineer at the Alan Jay Wildstein Center for Performing Arts and, and has been a resident of Sebring since 2017, coming from Port St Lucie, Florida. Gil enjoyed RC boats, Microsoft flight simulator, driving his Mustang and he loved the theater. He is survived by his loving wife Penelope; stepchildren, Jesse Brenton of Sebring, FL; Amy Brenton of Sebring, FL; Samantha Brenton of Jensen Beach, FL; sister, Mary-Beth Carney Zipsir, brother-in-law, Rick Zipsir of Palm City, FL; Niece, Dana Cariello of Valley Village, CA; nephews, Frank Cariello of Delray Beach and Christopher Cariello of Lakeland, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, FL.
