Germaine M. Mountford, age 87, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in Avon Park, FL. She was born on December 21, 1928 in Pawtucket, RI to the late Mitchell and Lumina (Breault) Levesque. Germaine graduated from Putnam High School in Putnam CT and worked as a secretary. She married William “Bill” Mountford in 1950 and lived in Putnam and Woodstock, CT. As a stay at home mother of four children, Germaine enjoyed life. Whether she was sewing, crocheting, chauffeuring her children to activities, reading in her spare time, bowling, skiing, golfing, entertaining family and friends at gatherings at their home, or Saturday nights out with her husband, Germaine was always full of life and enjoyed every celebration and milestone, especially those of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Germaine had been a resident of Avon Park since 1994. She especially enjoyed her winters in the warm Florida sun playing golf with her husband and friends. She is survived by her husband of 65 years: William Mountford of Avon Park; daughter: Cynthia and her husband Mitchell Ogulewicz of SC; sons: Michael and his wife Margaret Mountford of IN; Todd and his wife Sherry Mountford of CT; Scott and his wife Pamela Mountford of CT; eight grandchildren: Kristen Falcone, Joshua Ogulewicz, Katherine Mountford, Thornton Mountford, Danielle Mountford, Kayla Mountford, Jillian Mountford, and Alivia Mountford, and 3 great-grandchildren: Alexa Ross, Blake Rufini, and Payton Falcone: brother: Paul Levesque of CT; sisters: Lorraine Menzone of MA; Vivian Murray of CT; and sister-in-law Joan Levesque. Germaine was predeceased by 3 siblings: Norman Levesque, Raymond Levesque, and Pauline Lorange. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Sautrday, March 19, 2016 at the Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park with a Prayer Service to be held at 5:30. Burial will be in CT at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Cornerstone Hospice at:
