Gerard Anthony Pondo

Gerard Anthony Pondo, Jr. born on June 18, 1958 in South Amboy, NJ to the late Ann C. Pondo and the late Gerard A. Pondo, Sr., passed away at the age of 61 on May 21, 2020 in Avon Park, FL where he resided for 26 years.

Gerry grew up in Parlin, NJ, attending college at the Richmond campus of University of Virginia, He spent most of his career with Cargill International, transferring from Cranberry, NJ to Frostproof, FL. While living in FL, he met and married his late wife Glenda, they were married 16 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Marie, his sister and nephew. Step children, Michael and Emma Jean and three step grandchildren.

A memorial service is being held at Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1410 W Avon Blvd, Avon Park, FL on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 11:00am.

A memorial mass was celebrated on June 18, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi in Weston, CT. A funeral mass is pending in Baltimore Diocese of Maryland.
