Gerald J. Martin

Mr. Gerald J. Martin age 69, passed away on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020 with his loving wife by his side. Gerald was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada to Donat Martin and Rina Carrier on October 15th, 1950. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 10 years Elaine “Jacques” Martin; Children: Tina (Aaron) Kouhoupt of Aurora, Ohio, Andrew (Brooke) Martin of Land o Lakes, Florida; step -son: Jacques (Allison) Fournier of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; brother: Roger Martin of Bolton, CT, 9 grandchildren: Cailyn, Reece, Hayden, Emmett, Mia, Jacques II, Bradly, Ryan, and Chase. Gerald is preceded by his parents: Donat and Rina Martin, wife: Carol” Kiki” Plourde. His hobbies included Hockey, motorcycles, poker, he was a firefighter for 20+ years, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2638 in Madawaska, ME for 42 years where he served 3 terms as Grand Knight and was State Deputy of Maine 2008- 2010. He was a Vietnam Veteran and member of the American Legion for 48 years.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic church at 595 E. Main street Avon Park, FL 33825. On Thursday, March 12th, 2020 at 1:00 PM.
