GERALD K. HOLTH Gerald K. Holth, age 91, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Sebring, FL. He was born in Port Huron, Michigan on February 3, 1920 to Henry and Ruth (Wilson) Holth. He was a graduate of Port Huron Jr. College and attended the University of Miami. He came to Avon Park, FL in 1942, as a primary cadet instructor for the Army Air Corps until 1945, with Ladwick Aviation Co. He was a pilot for Pan American World Airways for 35 years, flying out of Miami and San Francisco, retiring as a 747 Captain in 1980. He Served on the Board of Directors of Redland Golf Country Club, Homestead, FL and was a Deacon of Pinecrest Presbyterian Church in Miami, FL. He came to Sebring in 1994, was a member of Golf Hammock Country Club, the Elks, and Emmanuel United Church of Christ. His wife of 62 years, Julia Holth, preceded him in death on March 21, 2011. He is survived by his son, William (Barbara) Holth of Sebring, FL and his daughter, Joanne (Tom) Jones of Dallas, TX; brother, Richard Holth of Port Huron, MI; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Emmanuel United Church of Christ with Rev. George Miller officiating.
