Gerald Edward Baldy Fry, age 95 passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Venus, Pennsylvania to S. Allen and Aura (Elder) Fry. He was employed at Weavers Garage in Pennsylvania for 13 years as a mechanic and worked for Conair, retiring in 1977; he was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps where he was a crew chief of a P-47 in the European Theater. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Avon Park and served as a communion steward for many years, he enjoyed working for Meals on Wheels and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1985 coming from Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife of 62 years-Doris Fry of Avon Park, Florida; sons-Chuck Fry (Karen) of Cranberry, Pennsylvania, Garry Fry (Tammi) of Tucson, Arizona and John Fry of Oil City, Pennsylvania; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife-Doris L. Fry, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held at Morrison Funeral Home, 110 Petroleum Street, Oil City, Pennsylvania 16301.
