Georgianna "Gigi" Effie Murphy

Georgianna Effie Murphy, age 73, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on February 15, 2024, in Sarasota, FL. She was born on January 27, 1951, in Miami, FL, to her loving parents, Daniel John Mandis and Angela (Kalomeres) Mandis.

Georgianna, known to many as Gigi was a devoted wife, was preceded in death by her parents but is survived by her husband Dennis Murphy of Sebring, FL. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication in her three daughters: Kelly-Ann Wright (Jeffrey), Dawn Craig (Steven), and Stacey Duffessy (Michael). Georgianna cherished her family, including her brothers John Mandis (Susan), George Mandis (Kelly), and her sister Marie Del Rio (Alex). She was also a proud grandmother to four grandchildren: Ashley Palmer, Joseph Wright (Julia - fiancé), Madison Duffessy (Rachel - fiance), McKenzie Duffessy

During her life, Georgianna worked as a Medical Receptionist in Healthcare, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.  Georgianna had a zest for life and found joy in the simple pleasures - from watching races to entertaining friends and family. She had a special love for Greek food, which she often shared with those around her.

Georgianna's warm smile and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Georgianna's life will be held on March 9, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring Parkway, Sebring, FL,

Georgianna Effie Murphy will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the love she shared with everyone around her. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
