George M. Starr

GEORGE M. STARR George M. Starr, 68, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011, at his home. He was born September 12, 1943, to John F. and Marjorie P. (Woodington) Starr, in Torrington, CT, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1981, moving from Connecticut. He was the owner and operator of Starr-Lite Pools in Sebring and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He was a Master Mason and a member of SCCA. He is survived by his sons, Daniel James Starr of Sebring and Michael John Starr of Lake Placid, FL; daughter, Lois Lee Prettyman, St. Louis, MO; brother, Philip G. Starr, W. Goshen, CT; sister, Sharon Squires, Harwington, CT; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service, with military honors, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring.
