George V. Seeger, age 82, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 in Sebring, FL. He was born on August 24, 1934 in Broken Bow, Nebraska to the late William T. and Estella (Stutzman) Seeger. George proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and spent his career in the Construction Industry. He moved to Sebring in 1995 from Nebraska and was a member of The Church of the Way. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ first and foremost, his wife and family dearly and enjoyed golfing. George attended and graduated Kearney State College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in business. He was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in Hastings, NE and was also pilot of small aircraft. George was a member of the American Legion Post 69 and VFW 4300 and Gideons International. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Donna J. Seeger of Sebring, FL, children: Shelli Cervantes (Charles)-Lorida, FL, Kenneth (Shannon) Seeger-Coral Springs, FL, Benjamin (Delfi) Seeger-Davie, FL, Kelli (Darrel) Seeger Johnson-TN; sister: Anna Bendowsky-North Platte, NE, sister-in-law: Bonnie Jean Seeger-Elwood, NE; grandchildren: Nathaniel Keith (Alicia) Cervantes, Misty Lynne (Rob) Delong, Aubrey Lynn Seeger, Lucas George Seeger, Nicholas Alexander Seeger, Lydia Mei-Ling Seeger, Justin Edward Davis, Joshua Aaron Davis; great-granddaughters: Meadow Lynn, Paisley Grace as well as nine in-laws and spouses, nieces and nephews and many friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. Along with his parents George was preceded in death by one brother: Bob Seeger and granddaughter: Brianna Seeger. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, 1:00pm, at the Church of the Way of Sebring, Florida. Interment Friday, February 17th, 2017, 10:30am, South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Church of the Way, 1005 N.
