Zolfo Springs

George Randal “Randy” Parker, age 84, of Zolfo Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024. He was born on September 25, 1939, in La Fayette, Tennessee, to the late Louie and Sindy Parker.

Randy served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Navy, where he rose to the rank of Master Chief and served during the Vietnam War. His dedication and bravery earned him the respect of his peers and the lasting gratitude of a nation.

After moving from St. Cloud, Florida, Randy settled in Zolfo Springs, where he spent the last 4 ½ years of his life. He was an active member of the First Sebring Church, having previously been a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in St. Cloud.

He took special pride in his role as a grandfather, always making time to share his wisdom, love, and adventurous spirit with his grandchildren.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Parker; his children, Thomas Parker (Alice), John Parker (Heather), and Denise Parker; his sister, Betty Newbold; three grandchildren, eight shared grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Anita R Parker and his beloved daughters, Cathy Pranger and Stacey Jo Parker.

Randy will be remembered as a brave, adventurous, and dedicated man who lived his life with devotion to his family, his faith, and his country. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
