GEORGE ANDREW GLADUE George Andrew Gladue, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in Sebring, FL. He was born in Walhalla, North Dakota on June 11, 1924 to Alphonse and Mary (Larogue) Gladue. He was a Chief Boatswains Mate in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He was a civil engineer for 18 years, member of Fleet Reserve Branch 173, Sea Service Museum and former member of the Spring Lake Golf Course and was a resident of Sebring since 1979 coming from Norfolk, VA. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Gladue, Sebring, FL; Daughter, Trudy Gladue, Sebring, FL; Son, George Gladue, Jr., Lake Wales, FL; Step-Daughter, Margaret Kelly, Avon Park, FL and Nancy Nielsen, Sebring; Step-Son, Mike Layport, Sebring, FL; Sisters, Stella Taylor, Minneapolis, MN, Jean Grubb, Washington State, Ramona Danielson, Grand Forks, ND, Marlene Burckhard, Grand Forks, ND; 3 grandchildren, Amy Bloom, Richard Nielsen, Anna Gladue; 7 step-grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alyce Gladue in 1999 and daughter Marie Gladue Nielsen in 1990. Memorial services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
