George H. Duhamel

age 92, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. Mr. DuHamel was born in Tiverton, Rhode Island to Henry and Edith (Almy) DuHamel. He was an Industrial Engineer, he served in the United States Army (1942-1946), he was a member of the Joel Prouty Masonic Lodge, lifetime member of the Auburn Historical Society, and he was a member of the First Congregational Church in Auburn, Massachusetts and the Union Congregational Church in Avon Park, Florida. Mr. DuHamel had been a resident of Avon Park since 2011 coming from Auburn, Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife-Laura DuHamel of Avon Park, Florida; children-Steven DuHamel (Norma) of Zolfo Springs, Florida and Paula Lubin (Leonard) of Avon Park, Florida; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-Arthur DuHamel and Robert DuHamel. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Auburn, Massachusetts.
