George W Brown

On February 2, 1934 a couple named Thomas and Mary West gave birth to two twin boys in Mobile, Alabama. One of the twins was the late and great George Brown. In the early 60’s, George moved to Avon Park, FL, there he met and married Kathleen Martin for over 40 years. During that time, George was employed with the city of Avon Park, where he retired. He was a pillar of the community and was loved by many and all. George Brown leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Kathleen Brown, his son, George W. Brown Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, FL; daughter Sandra Fay Scott of Atlanta, GA; three granddaughters, Ashley Alexander, Porche Brown and Chantel Brown; one great grandson, Elijah Brown, also a great deal of nieces, grandnieces, nephew, cousins and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2108 at 11:00 AM at the Progressive Church of God by Faith.
