Geneva Myrtle Wise

Geneva Myrtle Wise, 89, passed away on April 27, 2018. She was born in Ft. Meade Florida on January 4, 1929 to Posey and Viola Rimes Cowart. Geneva had been an Avon Park resident since 1956 coming from Frostproof, FL. Geneva married James Thomas Wise Sr. in 1946 and they were happily married until his passing in 1998.  She very much enjoyed being with her family and loved cooking for them. She also found joy doing yard work, gardening and being with her pets. Geneva is survived by her children, Sherlay Stimson of Avon Park, Thomas (Emily) Wise of Avon Park, William (Kay) Wise of Arcadia, and Jerry Wise of Avon Park; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Geneva was predeceased by her son-in-law David Stimson. A visitation will be held at the Stephenson Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, FL on Wednesday, May 2 at 1:00 PM and the service will begin at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof, FL.
